Re-Groove Your Neural Pathways

One of my favorite quotes of all time is from the Zen Poet, Paul Reps:

"Where attention goes Energy flows"

REWIRE YOUR BRAIN

It is entirely possible for you to move from sympathetic dominance to living your life from a sense of balance and harmony, no matter what your external circumstances are. You can establish a new baseline, a new set point. You can re-groove your neurological architecture. You can achieve what the meditators and mystics have spoken of for thousands and thousands of years, and we can map it as you go!

ADDICTED TO THE HORMONES OF STRESS

As humans, we can actually become addicted or entrained to what we sometimes consider "negative" emotions or the emotions of stress. In order to shift this, we have to practice feeling into the types of emotions we would like to experience more of in order to create a new set-point or baseline of our emotional status. The research states that this is entirely possible, and the best way we know how to help you is with yoga, meditative practices, and HeartMath.

IT TAKES SHOWING UP

The process of establishing these new neural pathways takes practice and patience. But the good news is, if you do the work, it works !

If you have been sympathetically-dominant your entire life (stressed, sympathetically-aroused, chronically busy, always multi-tasking, etc), it may actually feel uncomfortable for your nervous system to become relaxed, quiet, and balanced, because this neural information is so foreign . This is why it is important and helpful to work with a practitioner and perhaps even join a practice group to be fully supported, motivated, and follow through during this process of re-establishing your new baseline.

According a study of high school students after 16 weeks of HeartMath practices just a few sessions per week, there is a measurable shift in your baseline HRV pattern if you stick to it! In the clinic, we can measure pre-, during, and post- Heart Rate Variability data so that you can not only feel your progress but see the objective data.

If you're ready to transform and rewire your nervous system to a new normal, schedule a free 15 minute consult with our Certified HeartMath Practitioner to get started.

From a functional medicine perspective, allergies are not just about pollen, dust, or environmental triggers—they are a reflection of how your immune system is functioning. And one of the most important places to look? Your gut.

Even in people who are not diabetic, blood sugar imbalances can quietly drive fatigue, weight gain, hormone disruption, inflammation, and long-term chronic disease. The challenge is that most people don’t realize it’s happening.

As the days get longer and the sun returns, many people expect to feel naturally more energized. And yet, for so many, spring arrives… and the fatigue is still there. If you’re feeling tired despite the seasonal shift, your body isn’t broken—it’s asking for support at a deeper level.

Many individuals we work with have done so much to support their health: addressing gut concerns, balancing hormones, changing nutrition and lifestyle, yet still feel disconnected from their body or anxious about symptoms returning.
