Jennifer Gnisci, MA, L.Ac

Jennifer is a board certified licensed Acupuncturist with specialized training in Trigger Point Dry Needling based on the works of Dr. Janet Travell, Classical Chinese Medicine and Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST). Jennifer’s undergraduate education is a Bachelor of Science with a focus in Neurobiology.

Jennifer helps people resolve acute and chronic pain conditions using an interdisciplinary combination of physical acupuncture and Cranial Sacral Therapy. Jennifer identifies tissue abnormalities and releases fascial adhesions through precision dry needling, resolving referral pain patterns and painful body biomechanics. Jennifer loves to support her patients through offering various stretches and exercises to prevent further injury.

Jennifer also has a passion for treating stubborn chronic illnesses. Thorough medical intake and Chinese diagnostics (pulse, tongue and palpation) allow Jennifer to not only treat the symptoms but also identify the root cause of the illness.  She has successfully treated nervous system imbalances, gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders, anxiety & depression and women’s wellness and fertility.  Jennifer combines an experiential and intuitive blend of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Energy & Shamanic Medicine and Nutritional/Lifestyle Support to empower her patients to thrive in body, mind and spirit and live their best life.

Jennifer is also an Energy Medicine & Shamanic Practitioner. She is a graduate of the Four Winds Light Body School where ancient shamanic wisdom teachings are merged with cutting-edge practices in nutrition, biology and neuroscience. Jennifer is also a Master Astrologer. When Jennifer is not in the office she enjoys spending time in nature with loved ones, meditating and stargazing.

"I treat the whole person, not the symptom. Every treatment is custom tailored to the uniqueness of each individual. No two treatments are ever the same because no two people are the same."

Recover from long-term chronic pain, and sports injuries and reclaim optimal health with Acupuncture and Dry Needling, which are safe, natural, drug-free and effective ways to treat pain, reduce stress and reconnect to your best life.

Jennifer is committed to helping you feel better and applies as many tools as necessary in a single treatment to achieve this. The treatment does not end once the needles are set.  A session with Jennifer encompasses a dynamic blend of Acupuncture, Dry Needling, Chinese Medicine, Nutrition & Lifestyle Counseling, Cupping & Gua Sha (Graston), Cranial Sacral and Energy Work.

Jennifer is passionate about helping her patients feel well from the inside out.  Through deep listening and rigorous analysis she compassionately guides her patients from a state of simply surviving to a state of thriving. Jennifer believes wellness is our most precious gift and that it is everyone’s birthright to experience it. She believes physical health is the bridge that allows people to tap into their true potential and purpose so that they can live meaningful, fulfilling lives. Jennifer applies a four-fold systems-based integrative approach addressing the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health of each individual she assists.

Jennifer also specializes in Trigger Point Dry Needling based on the works of Dr. Janet Travell.  She has found this particular style of acupuncture to be hands down the most effective in treating musculoskeletal pain, wherein her patient recognizes an immediate change during the treatment. Through needling trigger points (knots in the connective tissue) and fascial adhesions while applying electro-stimulation to the needles, referral pain patterns are identified and resolved and proper biomechanics are restored.  Fascial theory and its relationship to the body’s vital organs, muscles, bones and nerve fibers has blown Jennifer’s mind as she feels it is the missing link in explaining (through a western filter) why acupuncture and channel theory work and how the body functions as one truly connected holographic system.
